About Fuzzy Buzzy Soaps
A friend of mine, who's an oncology nurse, asked me one day if I had ever looked at the chemicals in a bar of soap. It prompted a philosophical discussion about chemicals, and as I had a bonus daughter who died from breast cancer, it started my research into making healthy, handcrafted soaps in small batches that I could make available to friends and family. My soaps are cold processed, (made from scratch, not melt and pour) and made with healthy nourishing oils, butters, and beneficial ingredients. I make organic ingredients my first choice when I can. I DON'T use lard or tallow (vegan friendly) , GMO products, Palm Oil (habitat destruction), mineral oil, phthalates, or parabens, and never tested on animals. I don't use chemical colorants so you won't find as many intense colors in my soaps. I use essential oils when possible and colors (clays, plants and spices) that are earth based with additional health and healing benefits. My goal is to have a soap with healthy ingredients. I also use recycled paper for my labels. We only have one earth, and I do my best to keep my footprint small. All of my containers are recyclable.
As I am a beekeeper, I also wanted to bring the health benefits of honey, bee pollen, propolis and beeswax from my apiary into many of my soaps and lotions.
In addition to my soaps, I offer 3 sizes of bottled honey, and beeswax lotion bars from my apiary. I also offer hand lotions and body butters. And in keeping with my love of honeybees and all pollinators, custom made, one of a kind glass "Bee" dishes hand crafted by my sister, Teresa.
I make small batches of soaps each week. I do not mass produce them, and it takes soaps 4-6 weeks to cure and reach a hardness that is suitable for use. New and/or restocked soaps will be available each week. Check back often for new varieties or to restock your current supply.
I also do gift baskets and can custom create them to fit your needs.
